Products Warranty Service/ Parts Finance Outlets Warranty for Wave Scope of Warranty Syakar Company Limited gives the following warranty in respect of Honda motorcycles and scooters manufactured by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI). Terms and Conditions: 1. Syakar Company will replace or repair at their authorised workshops, free of charge, within a period of 24 months from the date of sale or until the vehicle has been driven for 32,000 km for motorcycles and 24,000 km for scooters, whichever event occurs first, such part(s) thereof as may be found, on examination, to have manufacturing defect. 2. Syakar Company undertakes no liability in the matter of consequential loss or damage caused due to the failure of the part(s). Delay, if any, at the authorized workshop in carrying out repair to the vehicle shall not be a ground for extending the warranty period nor shall it give any right to the customer for claiming any compensation for damages. 3. Syakar Company reserves the right to carry out the replacement by part(s) of any such alternative brand(s). Where a defective part(s) can be replaced by part(s) of alternative brand(s), which are normally used by HMSI in the course of manufacturing, Syakar Company reserves the right to carry out the replacement by part(s) of any such 4. No claim for exchange or repair can be consider unless the customer: Ensures that immediately upon the discovery of the defect, the customer approaches the nearest authorized dealer of Syakar Company with the concerned vehicle and enables Syakar Company to remove and dispatch the part(s) attributing to manufacturing defect to the concerned company. Produces Owner's Manual in original, to enable that dealer to verify the details. 5. It must be expressly understood that claim(s) forwarded directly to HMSI by the owner/customer will not be entertained at all and such defective part(s) thus forwarded by them will lie at HMSI factory at their own risk, and this warranty shall not be enforceable. Limitations of Warranty This warranty is not applicable: 1. If any free or paid services has not been carried out on the vehicle, as per the schedule given in the Owner's Manual. 2. For normal maintenance operations like brake adjustment, cleaning of fuel system, engine tune-up or such other adjustments. 3. Syakar Company does not warrant normal wear and tear items like fuel filter, oil filter element, air cleaner element, drive chain, sprocket, brake pad, brake shoe, clutch disc, wheel rim (in case of misalignment and bent), fasteners, shims, washers and electrical items like bulbs, wiring and rubber components like grommets, 'O' rings, bellows, as well as packings, gaskets, oil seals etc. and consumables like engine oil, grease, battery electrolyte, brake fluid, suspension oil, other items specified by HMSI. 4. Parts of the vehicle that have been subjected to misuse, accident, negligent treatment or which have been used in conjunction with part(s) and an equipment not manufactured or recommended for use by HMSI if in the sole judgement of Syakar Company, such use prematurely affects the performance and reliability of the vehicle. 5. Parts of the vehicle that have been altered or modified or replaced in unauthorized manner, and which in the sole judgement of Syakar Company affects its performance and reliability. 6. The vehicle that has not been serviced by Syakar Company authorized workshop as per the service schedule or which have not been operated or maintained in accordance with instructions mentioned in the Owner's Manual. 7. If the vehicle is used for any competition or race and/or for attempting to set up any kind of record. Syakar Company reserves the right to make any changes in design or to add any improvement on the vehicle at any time without incurring any obligations to install the same on a vehicle previously supplied and sold. Also the conditions of this warranty are subject to alteration without any notice. This warranty is given in lieu of and excludes every condition or warranty whether statutory or otherwise not herein expressly set out.
